Professor of Medical Physiology and Pathophysiology and Head of the Institute of Physiology, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. Professor Jiruška is also the project leader of the Epileptology Research Centre Prague. His current research focuses on the mechanisms of epilepsy and seizures due to cortical malformations and on understanding seizure dynamics.
