Child neurologist, epileptologist, head of the Department of Child Neurology at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, University of Charles University and Motol University Hospital, chairman of the Czech League Against Epilepsy, former chairman of the Society of Child Neurology and member of the EPNS Board. He is mainly interested in the issue of pharmacoresistant epilepsy in childhood and the possibility of its surgical management; specifically in the issue of disorders of cerebral cortex development, tuberous sclerosis, genetic causes of the disease and their significance for the prognosis of patients, as well as intraoperative monitoring and factors affecting the quality of life in children with epilepsy.
