On the occasion of the International Parkinson’s Disease Day, the 11th International Parkinson’s Disease Day took place. April 2025 in the Large Seminar Room of the Neurology Clinic 1. Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and the University Hospital of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic, for a seminar entitled Psychopathology and Advanced Treatment Methods in Parkinson’s Disease.
The aim of the event was to provide the public, representatives and members of patient organisations with information about the accompanying psychopathological symptoms and advanced methods of treatment of Parkinson’s disease. These include pump systems and deep brain stimulation (DBS).
The main organizers of the professional seminar were the Parkinson Society, z. s. and Parkinson – Help z.s., in cooperation with the Neurological Clinic 1. Medical Faculty of Charles University and the University Hospital of Veterinary Medicine. The invitation was accepted by MUDr. Tereza Uhrová, Ph.D., MUDr. Petra Havránková, Ph.D. and prof. MUDr. Robert Jech, Ph.D. deputy director of NEUR-IN and the Prague Centre for Interventional Therapy of Motor Disorders (iTEMPO) of the Neurological Clinic 1. Medical Faculty of Charles University and the University Hospital of Veterinary Medicine.
