We would like to invite you to an inspiring lecture “A Head Full of Question Marks: On Brain Research“, which will offer a fascinating insight into the scientific understanding of the biological ageing of the brain, its structural changes and the impact of mental health on ageing. Experience a night under the stars on 30 September 2025 at 18:00 in the Brno Observatory and Planetarium.

Take a peek under the hood of the brain thanks to prof. Irena Rektorová, M.D., Ph.D. and Klára Marečková, Ph.D., M.Sc.

• Irena Rektorová will present the latest findings on what brain imaging can suggest about incipient diseases such as Parkinson’s. Learn how modern MRI technology can detect changes in the brain nuclei early in the disease.
  
• Klára Marečková will introduce you to the rate of biological aging of the brain and the importance of markers from the blood, DNA methylation or the influence of the mother’s mental health during pregnancy.
